Foundation Course

The BWY Foundation Course (Level 1) is designed to explore yoga in more depth than you would get in an average class. It includes practical and theoretical work on the eight limbs of Patanjali's Yoga sutras Chapter Two e.g. asana, pranayama, concentration, and meditation as well as topics such as the history of Yoga and the different paths and schools of yoga.

The Foundation Course is intended for students who would like to develop their knowledge of yoga further and also for those wanting to train as teachers to provide them with the basics and introduction to our diploma course.

Teacher Training Course

The BWY Teacher Training Diploma Course explores a practical and theoretical syllabus that covers: anatomy and physiology (including common medical conditions), pranayama, history & philosophy of yoga and class management.

To be accepted onto a BWY Teaching Diploma Course students will have practised yoga for over two years and will often have completed the BWY Foundation Course as well.
